Kilmardinny House Arts Centre, Bearsden
An ambitious £2.58m plan to develop Kilmardinny House into a wedding, conference and arts centre has been granted planning permission by East Dunbartonshire Council.
The creation of a new garden pavilion extension will provide a modern, flexible space and enhance the venue as a centre for local arts, performance and community groups. It will also create a modern, flexible space that can be used for a range of activities including performances, exhibitions, conferences and weddings.
The existing popular Grade A listed house will be refurbished, both inside and out, including redecoration and some repairs to external stonework and windows.
Kilmardinny will remain closed until this renovation and development project has been completed. EDLC's arts programme will be delivered in a range of other Trust and community venues during this period. We will post details about the projected timescale for Kilmardinny Arts Centre re-opening and on the new booking arrangements as and when this information is available.
