The Active Schools Team supports a vast network of volunteers across East Dunbartonshire.

Volunteering information

Each experience can be tailored to match your strengths and interests meaning maximum fulfilment and enjoyment for you.

We are continually looking to engage with new volunteers.

Our volunteers experience a range of benefits including:

  • Coaching experience
  • Learning new skills
  • Gaining confidence
  • Meeting people and make new friends
  • Contributing towards your community
  • Having fun!

You will also have access to our Volunteer Training Programme giving you the opportunity to learn new skills in preparation for leading/supporting clubs.

Volunteers can lead or support:

  • Breakfast clubs
  • Lunch time clubs
  • After school clubs
  • One-off events

There are a wealth of opportunities available throughout East Dunbartonshire.

No experience is necessary. If you are enthusiastic and would like to make a difference we would love to hear from you!

Please note potential volunteers are required to provide details of two referees and join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme as part of the recruitment process (at no cost to the volunteer).

Volunteers are supported throughout their volunteering journey by an Active Schools Coordinator, who maintains regular communication in order to ensure every volunteer has the best experience possible.
