Walking

What is a health walk?

Walking within East Dunbartonshire is a free activity to help increase physical activity in a fun environment lead by qualified Walk Leaders. The walks range between 30-60 minutes which are low level and ideal for anyone recovering from an injury or illness or just wanting to become more active.

Monthly Health walks:

De Cafe has a short health walk (approx 30mins) on the last Friday of the month from Kirkintilloch Baptist Church at 1pm in the back car park.

ABI Cafe's Rock n Roll Group, is a wheelchair friendly walk starting at 3pm and there is another walk at 1pm for anyone attending the group. This is also from the Kirkintilloch Baptist Church in the back car park and is on the First Thursday of the month.

I would like to volunteer in the W.A.L.K Project?

Volunteering is a great opportunity to meet new people and help increase their physical activity in an enjoyable, relaxed and social way.

You can provide support for the walk leader or be trained to lead health walks or be involved in events which are occurring though out the year.
