EDLC Heritage & Arts are continuing the phased return of services, the latest updates are listed below.

Archives and Local Studies

Re-opened to in person visits to view archives and local studies collections on 12 July 2021.

Appointment hours: Mondays and Wednesdays 10am-12pm or 2pm-4pm

Location: Archives & Local Studies, 1st floor, William Patrick Library, 2-4 West High St, Kirkintilloch G66 1AD.

Bookings: email archives@eastdunbarton.gov.uk or call 0141 777 3142 (on Mondays and Wednesdays)

If you are unable to visit us during these times our specialist staff can carry out up to 30 minutes research for you for free.

Auld Kirk Museum

The Auld Kirk Museum reopened on 8 June 2021.

Opening hours: Tuesday – Sat 10am-1pm and 2pm-5pm

Booking is not required.

Lillie Art Gallery

The Lillie Art Gallery reopened on 18 May 2021.

Opening hours: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10am-1pm and 2pm-5pm

Wednesday 2pm – 5pm

Booking is not required.

Kirkintilloch Town Hall

Kirkintilloch Town Hall is currently being used for the roll out of the vaccination programme. For more information on booking the halls at a future date please see our Venue page or email edlct.bookings@eastdunbarton.gov.uk

The Made in Kirkintilloch exhibition in the Heritage Centre & Co-curated space at Kirkintilloch Town Hall is currently closed.

Creative Arts Programme

Our adult, children and young people’s arts programme is gradually returning. Some adult art classes are currently running at the Lillie Art Gallery.
