Our July to September 2019 What's On brochure is now available in libraries and other local community venues, but  you can  follow the What's On link to take a look at a digital copy right now and see the range of events and activities taking place in libraries, arts and heritage in East Dunbartonshire over the next few months.

The Kirkintilloch Canal Festival is back for its 19th year and 2019 sees a centenary celebration of Kirkintilloch’s Rita Cowan – the ‘Mother of Japanese Whisky’ meeting husband-to-be Masataka Taketsuru.

As part of the celebrations there will be a wide range of themed events and exhibitions in addition to a fantastic programme of Canal Festival fun throughout Kirkintilloch Town Centre.

Doors Open Day - September 2019

Doors Open Days is Scotland’s largest free annual celebration of heritage and ilt environment.

East Dunbartonshire’s events have been arranged in partnership with the East Dunbartonshire Heritage and History Forum and this year’s programme features a vast array of interesting buildings, events, tours, walks and activities
to enjoy all in one day!
