Books and resources on pregnancy, parenting, childhood development and family life

Talking Together Collection

This collection is located at the William Patrick Library, Bearsden Library, Bishopbriggs Library and Lennoxtown Library on special display stands.  

It aims to support local parents and carers in talking to their children about topics such as puberty, growing up, sexual health and relationships. The books are suitable for children aged pre-five to teenagers but we recommend that the adult always read the book before sharing it with the child 

For Schools and Nurseries

Book Sets

We have sets of books of the same title for use in reading groups or to support the curriculum.

If you work in an educational setting, you can take out an educational worker’s membership in addition to you own library card.
