This exhibition explores the history of Kirkintilloch’s best-known iron foundry.
The Lion was known for its fine ornamental and architectural cast ironwork, earning a worldwide reputation and sending its castings across the globe. It was also one of five foundries that made the famous red telephone kiosk. Learn about the foundry’s story through items from the EDLC Archives, Local Studies, and Museum collections.
