The Creative Arts Programme offers a wide range of arts and crafts including painting, drawing, writing, weaving, pottery to name a few. Some courses offer a specific subject ie still life or pets and animals.
All our courses are led by professional tutors and are open to adults (16 years +) of all abilities. Absolute beginners' classes are also available for those who have no experience at all. All beginners are welcome to attend, but there are some courses where some experience is required.
Classes are graded as follows:
Level 1 = Absolute beginners: no experience required
Level 2 = Intermediate: some experience required
Level 3 = Experienced
Classes take place as follows:
Term 1: October to December
Term 2: January to March
Term 3: May
Children & Young People's Creative Learning Programme
We hold regular Saturday art classes at the Lillie Art Gallery (Ages 8 - 17 years) and smART workshops at the Auld Kirk Museum (Ages 7 - 11).
Our workshops and courses provide family fun, and are a chance to make new friends, build confidence and develop skills and interests. Our first term begins in October; Term 2 in January with a late Spring Term in May.

BOOK QUICKLY TO ENSURE YOUR PLACE.
BOOK ONLINE: Select the online bookings system. Choose either Classes or Courses then use the scroll down menus to find what you are looking for.
When you have added the class/course/event to your basket and when prompted choose ‘unknown person’ (see below) as other options for members only.

Terms and Conditions: Bookings are made on a first come, first served basis. For this reason we advise you to book quickly, to ensure your place. Regretfully, we are unable to offer refunds, unless the activity you have booked is cancelled. In this situation, we will inform you as soon as possible, and give you the choice of a full refund or a place on a suitable alternative, if one is available.
Workshops and classes will only run if sufficient numbers enrol.
If for some reason you’re unable to attend a course on a certain date please do inform us as soon as possible. This will help the tutor to try and accommodate what you have missed in any subsequent sessions.
Venue Information: Before booking a place, please check the accessibility, as some venues only have limited access for wheelchair users or people who have problems with mobility . If you are in any doubt, please call the number above for more information, or contact the venue directly.
Young People: Children cannot be left at venues unaccompanied. Children aged over 7 years who attend workshop activities can be left as long as the parent or guardian has completed a registration form with emergency contact details etc.
