EDLC's Creative Arts Programme offers a wide range of courses, workshops and events for both adults and young people – including painting, drawing, crafts, pottery, demos, workshops and more.

All our courses are led by professional tutors/artists and are open to adults (16 years +) of all abilities. All are welcome to attend, although some courses may require previous experience or be part of a progressive series of courses. We also support the year-round Exhibitions Programme both at Auld Kirk Museum and Lillie Art Gallery.

Term 1: September to December
Term 2: January to March
Term 3: April – June

As well as exploring and developing your artistic talents, classes offer the chance to make new friends, socialise, find new interests and build confidence. They can also help with respite care.

The Get Creative Young People's Learning Programme offers a year-round programme of core Saturday classes and one-off workshops.

An annual Young People's Exhibition is held within Lillie Art Gallery – providing a professional setting for young people to experience their work on display next to national and international recognised artists.

The programme is inspired by our rich and diverse permanent collections/archives and general art/design history. A lot of the course work is self-directed, which challenges young people to take lead in their creative journey.

Children aged between seven and 11 can take part in 'smART classes' at the Lillie Art Gallery and Auld Kirk Museum.

Our workshops and courses are fun and creative, giving participants the chance to make new friends, build confidence, and develop skills and interests.
