Football Development Programme Easter 2024

Classes available to book from Monday 19 February

We have a maximum of 50 places available in each week and bookings will be done in order of the applications received. To book any of the below classes please use the attached booking form in the attachment section

Football Centres – These courses incorporate individual skills development and small sided games. (5 – 12 years).

Soccer Week** – Enjoy a great week of football fun all day, every day. These courses include skills development, fun games, small sided games and lots of fun. Courses open to boys and girls.(7 – 12 years)

* Dues to Monday falling within the holiday dates week 1 will only run for 4 days

**Please bring a drink (water or still juice) and a packed lunch every day if in Soccer Week*

Football Development Coaches Profiles

East Dunbartonshire Football Development has a wide array of coaches working within their grassroots community programme. Each coach is committed to the development of young people within the sport of football, and player enjoyment is at our core. They hold a varying degree of football qualifications but all have achieved a minimum of the Scottish FA Level 1 qualification.

Emma Dolan

Qualifications: Scottish FA Level 1~
Predominantly works in: The Allander Leisure Centre and Schools Programme
Coaching ambitions: To achieve my Scottish FA Level 2 UEFA C Licence and coach a team – no preference on level.

Alex Miller

Qualifications: UEFA B Licence
Predominantly works in: Kirkintilloch Leisure Centre, Schools Programme and Advanced Player Centre
Coaching ambitions: My ambitions are to complete my coaching qualifications within the next few years and improve myself l as much as I can. Then hopefully in years to come I would like to coach in Europe, but at the moment I am enjoying being a part of the football development team here at EDLC

Darren Hynes

Qualifications: Scottish FA Level 1
Predominantly works in: The Allander Leisure Centre and Schools Programme
Coaching ambitions: To coach in some capacity within a professional team

Lewis Sanderson

Qualifications: Scottish FA Level 1, Scottish FA Goalkeeping Level 1
Predominantly works in: The Allander Leisure Centre and Schools Programme
Coaching ambitions: I would love to open my own goalkeeping academy and further my coaching career within Scotland and coach at the highest level.

Gavin MacLure

Qualifications:Scottish FA Level 1
Predominantly works in:The Leisuredrome Bishopbriggs
Coaching ambitions: I work full time as Sports Development Officer however I have coached with EDLC Football Development since I was volunteer over 7 years and continue to coach as much as I can as I enjoy working with this team of coaches. I also enjoy seeing the progression the children make through all our classes.

Eva Ralston

Qualifications: Scottish FA Level 1
Predominantly works in: The Leisuredrome Bishopbriggs
Coaching ambitions: I hope to improve as a football coach by learning from my colleagues and more experienced coaches at ELDC. I’m also hoping to later transfer my improved confidence & skills and spend some time coaching abroad.

Kieran McGrory

Qualifications: Scottish FA Level 1
Predominantly works in: Kirkintilloch Leisure Centre
Coaching ambitions: Other than working to as high a standard as possible, my overall ambition is to coach in the United States at an Elite Youth Academy level or College/University standard.

Mark Edwards

Qualifications: Scottish FA Level 1
Predominantly works in: The Leisuredrome Bishopbriggs
Coaching ambitions: To gain experience in order to continue to improve as a coach. To facilitate a fun environment for children to play and learn football.

Elly McLean

Qualifications: Scottish FA Level 1
Predominantly works in: The Allander Leisure Centre
Coaching ambitions:  To learn as much as I can from the coaches and children and be as creative as I can during my sessions to prepare me for my future career as a PE teacher.
